QuMind

A sparring partner for founders and management teams.

Coaching and advisory for people running something technical, something young, or something that has stopped working as well as it used to. Structured sessions with someone who has built the financial models, written the memoranda and done the technical work — not a coach reading from a framework.

No cost, no obligation

First session

Forty-five minutes on what you are actually stuck on, and a written summary afterwards that you keep whether or not anything else follows.

  • What the real constraint is, as opposed to the one you are currently working on
  • What would have to be true for the next step to work
  • Whether coaching is the right instrument here, or whether you need something else entirely
  • If it is a fit: which programme, what it costs, and over what period
Book a first session Plenty of these end with “you do not need me, you need to do X”. That is a legitimate outcome and it costs you nothing.

Who this is for

Three situations

Starting upYou have a technical idea and no company yet, or a company and no first customer. The questions are whether this is a business, what the first version has to prove, and what you can stop doing.
Getting investor-readyA raise, a bank, a grant application or a first external shareholder. The questions are the numbers, the story they support, and whether the two survive contact with someone who reads these for a living.
Optimising what existsA business that works but earns less than it should. The questions are pricing, where the margin actually goes, which customers cost more than they pay, and what to stop selling.
Technical foundersEngineers and researchers running a company for the first time, who want to talk to someone who understands both the technology and the P&L without translating between them.
Owner-managers without a boardNobody to test a decision against before you make it. A standing session where someone is paid to disagree with you.
Teams in transitionA management team taking on something it has not done before — a new market, an acquisition, a first hire above them — and wanting structure around it.

Programmes

Fixed scope, fixed period

Indicative prices, excluding VAT. Everything is quoted after the first session, when there is something concrete to quote on. No programme runs on indefinitely: each has an end date and a stated outcome, and renewing is a decision rather than a default.

Sparring sessions
A standing session every two weeks, with the agenda set by you and a short written note afterwards recording what was decided. For owner-managers who need somewhere to think out loud before committing. Minimum three months.
from €650per month
Startup foundations
Six weeks, six sessions. What the business actually is, who pays and why, what the first version has to prove, what it costs to find out, and what to stop doing. Ends with a written plan you can hand to a co-founder, a partner or a bank.
from €2.9506 weeks
Investor-ready sprint
Four weeks. A working financial model you own and can defend, the assumptions behind it written down, a rehearsed answer to the questions an investor or a bank will actually ask, and an honest read on whether the raise is realistic at this stage.
from €3.9504 weeks
Business optimisation review
Where the margin actually goes. Pricing, customer and product profitability, the cost of the work you say yes to, and the handful of changes with the largest effect. Delivered as a ranked list with the expected impact of each, not a strategy document.
from €4.5003–4 weeks
Management team sessions
Facilitated sessions with a leadership team facing a specific decision — a new market, an acquisition, a restructure. Structured so the disagreement happens in the room rather than afterwards.
quotedper engagement
Standing advisory
For a company that wants a technical and commercial voice available between formal sessions — a second opinion on a contract, a hire, a supplier claim or a model, within a defined monthly allowance.
from €1.200per month

How it is different

Someone who has done the work, not someone who has read about it

Most business coaching is delivered by people whose own experience is coaching. The difference here is the adjacent work: the same practice builds the valuations and financial models behind company sales, and runs technical studies for industry. When you say the margin does not add up, or that the customer disputes a technical claim, that is a conversation rather than an exercise.

It also sets the limits honestly. This is not therapy, it is not executive coaching in the leadership-development sense, and it is not interim management. If what you need is one of those, you will be told so in the first session.

A coach who cannot read your P&L is of limited use when the problem is in your P&L.

How it works

Four steps

A first session. Forty-five minutes, no cost, with a written summary afterwards. If coaching is not the right instrument, that is where you find out.

A programme and a price. Scope, period and cost in writing, with a stated outcome and an end date.

The sessions, with written notes. Each session ends with what was decided and what happens before the next one. Decisions get recorded so progress is visible rather than remembered.

A close, not a renewal by default. The programme ends on its date with a written summary. Continuing is a separate decision.

Two or three sentences on the situation and what is stuck is enough. You will get a time, or an honest answer that this is not the right help.
